I started clay shooting about 5 years ago, but more recently have become involved in game shooting too. At our small local shoot we tend to beat one, shoot one, but I found it increasingly difficult to manage the dog, daughter, beating stick, cartridge bag - even sarnies sometimes - as well as the gun.  I prefer not to put my gun on the ground, find it uneasy holding it over my arm or shoulder as, after a time it hurts.  So it’s in the slip, out the slip, in out etc. all the time.  However, about 18 months ago - during a beaters day, actually - I came up with my idea.   The “Scott Holster”   enables me to carry a gun safely and with both hands free.  It suits me fine and I now use it all year round and find it brilliant for clay shooting. Like most others I like to have the gun ready to use - it also makes things easy for scoring and button pressing, even drinking tea!
